Sundargarh: The Odisha Government suspended Hemgir Tehsildar Labanyendu Mohanty on Saturday due to negligence in his duties within the Sundargarh district.
The suspension followed a report from the Sundargarh Collector regarding allegations of dereliction of duty. Consequently, the Revenue and Disaster Management Department acted to place the official under suspension.
According to the order, Mohanty will remain at the Sundargarh Collectorate until the suspension is revoked by the authority. He is also prohibited from leaving the district headquarters without the Collector’s permission.
