Mayurbhanj: Four people were killed and three others were critically injured in two separate road accidents in Mayurbhanj district on Saturday.
According to reports, the first incident occurred near Badadalima Chhak, within the Tiring Police Station limits. A speeding truck struck three pedestrians, resulting in one person being killed instantly, while two others suffered severe injuries. The accident happened during their regular morning walk.
The same truck, reportedly being driven recklessly, later hit an auto-rickshaw five kilometers away at Bagbendra, under Bahalda Police Station jurisdiction. In this incident, the auto-rickshaw driver and a couple traveling in the vehicle were killed on the spot, while their relative sustained critical injuries.
Upon receiving the report, the police quickly transported the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment, took custody of the bodies, and initiated an investigation into the incidents
